This is an exciting opportunity to work at the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA). SIRA regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW - Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Home Building Compensation and has some regulatory functions in other NSW insurance schemes including the Lifetime Care and Support and Dust Diseases schemes.

About the role
This role sits in our Scheme Design Workers Compensation & Health team as part of the Regulatory Strategy & Stewardship Directorate. The role will manage the design, development and delivery of workers compensation reforms that support SIRA's organisational objectives and government commitments.
As Scheme Design Advisor (Policy Officer) your responsibilities will include:
- Providing policy advice to both internal and external stakeholders on issues relevant to the NSW workers compensation scheme.
- Undertaking research and analysis to inform the policy process and decision making.
- Preparing papers, briefs and correspondence.
- Managing projects and initiatives on issues relevant to workers compensation.
- Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to inform and develop policy initiatives.
- Collaborating with workers compensation, personal injury and work health and safety professionals from NSW and other jurisdictions.
- Contributing to the work of the broader workers compensation, motor accident and home building compensation Directorates as needed.
