Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in detailing and design support for engine support components, including castings, machined parts, sheet metal components, assemblies, and engineering groups. Skilled in offshore project coordination, design updates, engineering support, and internal quality checks. Proficient in Creo, Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, PRWB, ESMS, EA Tool, SAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering and drafting of casting, machined, sheet metal parts, assemblies, and groups related to engine support components.
• Create and maintain 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation as per customer and organizational standards.
• Execute design modifications and model updates based on engineer inputs, change requests, and project requirements.
• Support product development activities by incorporating engineering changes and ensuring accuracy in released drawings and models.
• Manage and coordinate offshore projects , including project assignment, scope discussions, requirement analysis, and query resolution with global engineering teams.
• Act as a focal point between engineers and offshore teams for effective communication and timely project execution.
• Handle process partners and engineering teams by providing:
• Design input clarification
• Technical query resolution
• Scope understanding
• Design update support
• Rework feasibility assessment
• Conduct mandatory internal quality checks (Buddy Checking) to ensure drawing accuracy, compliance with standards, and overall design quality before release.
• Review engineering deliverables for adherence to customer specifications, drafting standards, GD&T requirements, and best practices.
• Manage engineering data, revisions, and product structures using Teamcenter PLM .
• Utilize Vis Mockup for product visualization, assembly review, and design validation activities.
• Work with PRWB, ESMS, and EA Tool for engineering workflows, data management, and project execution processes.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering documents, project trackers, and reports.
• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve design and production-related issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance design quality, productivity, and engineering processes.
