The Senior Associate, Global Internal Audit will be a key member of The Knot Worldwide’s Global Internal Audit team. Reporting to the Manager, Global Internal Audit, this role will primarily support internal controls compliance activities, including process walkthroughs, control testing, documentation, and coordination with process owners across multiple business functions.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative professional with 2+ years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, and risk assessment activities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and motivated to contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s internal control framework. Exposure to Internal Audit is preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform process walkthroughs to identify risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
- Execute Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Operating Effectiveness (TOE) procedures for key business processes and controls
- Support the maintenance, enhancement, and organization of process and control documentation within Workiva
- Coordinate with process and control owners to obtain audit evidence and ensure timely completion of testing activities
- Assist with remediation tracking and follow-up procedures related to identified control deficiencies
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, IT, and other business functions
- Contribute to initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, and control standardization
- Stay current on SOX requirements, COSO framework updates, and internal controls best practices
SUCCESSFUL SENIOR ASSOCIATE, GLOBAL INTERNAL AUDIT CANDIDATES HAVE:
- CA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification
- 2+ years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, walkthroughs, and controls testing
- Strong understanding of SOX framework, COSO principles, and risk and controls concepts
- Experience with Workiva or similar SOX/audit management tools preferred
- Solid understanding of business processes and internal control environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
WORK MODEL:
This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs. You’ll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
