Application Administrator (Jira)
Job description
📍 Location: Wrocław, Poland (Hybrid - preferably 2 days/week in the office) 💰 Rate: up to PLN 135/hour (B2B)
We are looking for an experienced Application Administrator to join an international team responsible for maintaining and developing key enterprise applications that support the organization's daily operations. In this role, you will focus primarily on the administration and continuous improvement of Jira , Confluence , and Polarion , while also supporting software license management, user access administration, and the adoption of business-critical tools across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys improving internal platforms, optimizing processes through automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the evolution of the organization's application landscape.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and continuously improve Jira, Confluence, and Polarion environments.
- Configure and manage projects, workflows, permission schemes, forms, automation, and system settings.
- Manage workspace structures, documentation repositories, and knowledge-sharing environments.
- Provide day-to-day support to users and promote best practices for efficient use of collaboration tools.
- Gather business requirements and implement solutions that improve productivity and team collaboration.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative tasks and optimize existing processes.
- Manage software licenses across a portfolio of business and IT applications.
- Administer user accounts, groups, roles, permissions, and access rights.
- Support user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Monitor software license utilization and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Participate in the implementation and rollout of new business and IT tools.
- Create and maintain technical and user documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of commercial experience administering Jira and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience managing users, groups, roles, permissions, and access control.
- Good understanding of user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Experience administering Polarion ALM.
- Experience with software license management.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Foundry, or Claude.
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools and environments.
- Experience with workflow automation and process optimization.
- Basic knowledge of scripting, integrations, or application automation.
