Job description

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded professional to join our Research & Retail Consultancy team. This hybrid role combines market research and strategic retail advisory, offering exposure to a broad range of retail real estate assignments across Hong Kong and the region.

The successful candidate will support both research and consultancy initiatives, helping clients make informed decisions through market intelligence, strategic analysis, and implementation support. The position may be offered at Assistant Manager or Manager level depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market research and analysis on retail property sectors, consumer trends, tenant demand, and emerging retail concepts.
  • Monitor retail market performance, new developments, leasing activity, brand expansions, and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain and enhance internal databases, market intelligence platforms, and benchmarking tools. • Prepare market reports, thought leadership pieces, client presentations, and ad hoc research assignments.
  • Support the production of periodic market publications and industry insights.

Retail Consultancy Support

  • Support the Head of Retail Consultancy in delivering strategic advisory assignments, including market assessments, asset positioning, tenant mix strategies, retail concept development, and placemaking recommendations.
  • Conduct catchment, demographic, competitor, and consumer analyses to support client decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing consultancy reports, presentations, client proposals, and pitch materials.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to translate strategic recommendations into practical implementation plans.

Project Coordination & Client Management

  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple assignments.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of consultancy outputs.
  • Support client meetings, workshops, presentations, and business development initiatives.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day client communications and project administration.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Retail real estate industry, retail consultancy, market research, or a related field. (Candidates with less experience could be considered as Assistant Manager)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and lead in a fast-paced environment.
