Pay range: $26-$28 per hour
Responsibilities
The Audiovisual and Telehealth Specialist provides technical support of systems including audiovisualsystems, videoconferencing, recording and livestreaming technologies, computer projection and display, audiosystems, teleconferencing, virtual meeting technologies, patient television systems, telemedicine technology,and interactive patient systems using sophisticated digital software and hardware. The position providestechnical support for events including in person, virtual, and hybrid in person/virtual meetings.
The position operates, maintains, distributes, installs, configures, repairs, and upgrades various systems whileensuring their optimal performance. The position instructs staff in use of supported technologies.
- Set up, transport, configure, record, stream, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot audiovisualsystems, videoconferencing systems, teleconferencing equipment, multimedia devices, televisions,monitors, projectors, recording equipment and software, speaker sets, digital cameras andpresentation equipment for meetings and events• Support end users in the provisioning, setup, and use and recording of various virtual meetingsoftware platforms• Train staff in use of audiovisual hardware and software in meeting rooms and in use of Johns Hopkinsapproved virtual meeting software• Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex audiovisual hardware and softwareproblems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, includingvendor repair as needed• Help maintain an inventory of equipment, cables, and parts• Install audiovisual system and television system technology or assist in vendor installations• Provide expert technical support of patient television systems, interactive patient systems, andintegrations with various information systems• Support audio, video, and television broadcast systems in hospital interfaith chapels• Document equipment and systems failure, repair, installation, and removal• Respond to requests for support in a timely fashion• Effectively perform other relevant duties assigned
Qualifications
Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience supporting audiovisual systems• 1 year of experience supporting patient television systems and telemedicine systems preferred
- Knowledge of audiovisual systems • Knowledge of patient television systems, including interactive features• Knowledge of telemedicine technologies• Knowledge of video production equipment• Knowledge of audio systems and recording systems• Knowledge of video editing software• Knowledge of videoconferencing systems• Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft computer platforms• Knowledge of Microsoft office automation software• Knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams
