We Are Hiring
Location: Middleburg, FL
Facility: Ascension St. Vincent's Clay County Hospital
Department: PACU Recovery
Schedule: Day shift | PRN
What You Will Do
Provide direct, specialized nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the immediate post-operative period.
Follow aseptic sterile techniques strictly adhering to standard AORN and ASPAN guidelines.
Evaluate patient responses to treatments and manage post-procedural pain effectively.
Anticipate case-specific clinical needs based on the surgical procedure and patient pathophysiology.
Monitor patient stability and adjust interventions dynamically to ensure a safe post-anesthesia recovery.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
Required Credential(s)
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- ADVLIFSUP certification accepted in lieu of BLS
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. ASN or BSN preferred.
Work Experience
- Previous PACU experience preferred.
- Critical Care experience required.
Additional Preferences
- 1 year of experience in PACU, ED, or ICU
