Haul Truck Operator
Job description
Luck Stone's Spotsylvania Plant is looking to hire a Haul Truck Operator who can skillfully navigate quarry roads and berms to safely load and unload rock into our primary crushers. This role also lends a hand on the ground with plant maintenance - because at Luck Stone, safety and teamwork go into everything we do.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the vehicle
- Identify and report road, high wall, and equipment issues
- Operate heavy equipment using proper loading and dumping techniques
- Ensure the vehicle receives proper maintenance
- Assist with projects and activities beyond heavy equipment operation as needed
- Occasionally operate the Water Truck or Bin Truck, or help with maintenance projects around the plant
- Prioritize safety throughout the site for yourself and others
- Help keep the site clean and organized at the end of each shift
What You Bring
Experience: Prior experience in a quarry or large construction environment, or heavy equipment experience, is a plus
Attitude: Team-oriented with a positive outlook toward work and accomplishing goals
Schedule
Onsite, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay & Benefits
Pay starts at $24.38/hour and could increase upon skills and experience evaluation from management.
