About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Process Engineer to join their engineering team in Senai, Johor. This full-time role is crucial for the design, optimization, and implementation of industrial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety, while minimizing costs and environmental impact. This position is integral to operations, contributing directly to the company's commitment to delivering excellence in engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize industrial processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Conduct process assessments and feasibility studies for new projects and operational improvements.
- Create detailed process flow diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
- Troubleshoot process issues and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality departments.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses and recommend process enhancements to reduce operational expenses.
- Conduct training sessions to support staff in understanding and executing new or modified processes.
- Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in process engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of process design principles, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency with process simulation software and engineering design tools such as ASPEN, HYSYS, or similar applications.
- Experience with process safety management and hazard analysis (HAZOP, FMEA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software is advantageous.
