JOB TITLE – Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager DEPARTMENT – Conference & Banqueting CONTRACT TYPE – Full Time, Permanent RATE OF PAY – £35,963 per annum HOURS – 40 Hours per week LOCATION – Celtic Manor Resort, Newport ID – REQ6612

Supporting the delivery of world-class conferences, spectacular banquets, prestigious sporting events and unforgettable celebrations, you'll play a key role in one of the UK's most dynamic event operations. Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you will help oversee the day-to-day operation of our Conference & Banqueting department, ensuring exceptional guest experiences whilst developing and inspiring a talented team. OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE
- Supervisory or management experience within a Conference & Banqueting, Events or hospitality environment
- Experience delivering high-quality service for conferences, banquets, weddings or large-scale events
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A passion for developing and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence

- Support the day-to-day management of Conference & Banqueting operations, ensuring every event runs smoothly and successfully
- Lead, coach and motivate team members, creating a positive and high-performing working environment
- Coordinate the setup, delivery and breakdown of conferences, banquets and special events to the highest standards
- Monitor service standards, guest feedback and operational procedures to continually enhance the customer experience
- Work closely with internal departments and event organisers to ensure seamless event delivery and memorable guest experiences
