Senior Sales Engineer - Europe
Job description
Magnetics, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Senior Sales Engineer. This position will design customized technical solutions to meet customer requirements and increase revenue & profitability for Magnetics in the European Market. This position will be remote and require traveling domestically and internationally as needed for customer visits, trade shows, and conferences up to 40%.
Magnetics is a leading world supplier of precision soft magnetic components and materials to the electronics industry. We specialize in research, design, and production of high-quality powder cores, ferrite cores, and tape wound cores for applications such as chokes, inductors, filters, transformers, and power supply components for use in alternative energy, uninterrupted power supplies, telecommunications, aerospace, military, medical, and other electronics systems.
In this role, you will interface directly with customers to promote and sell Magnetics products, design inductors and transformers to meet customer needs, and work with direct accounts and distributor sales teams to review sales plans and develop strategies that increase sales. You will provide technical training and support to Magnetics Sales Engineers, Customer Service, and Distributor Sales Engineers, while creating and executing business plans to grow Magnetics' market share and actively promote the Magnetics brand in new designs. This position will also prepare and deliver sales and technical presentations, collaborate with marketing, engineering, and production to implement strategies, and coordinate with Engineering and Quality to address customer complaints and returns. Additional responsibilities include leading sales support activities such as quotes, sampling, and customer service; negotiating special pricing and conditions to improve profitability; and managing customer support to meet customer needs.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline and 5 to 10 years' experience in Sales, Engineering, or Business Development in a technical environment. A master's degree is preferred. The ability to communicate in German, Italian, or Spanish is preferred.
