Job Description
The Staff Neuropsychologist is responsible for providing psychological and neuropsychological assessment and interventions for community clients for a broad range of presenting psychological/neuropsychological concerns within the ISU Community Psychiatric Center.
Direct services may include assessment and treatment for the full range of mental health issues. Treatment modalities may include individual and group counseling. Indirect services include case management, supervision, consultation, and serving as liaison between the ISU Community Psychiatric Center, the Department of Psychology, and ISU Health Clinics. Clinical and didactic teaching opportunities with a clinical faculty appointment are also available.
This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services to clients through neuropsychological assessment and coordination of intervention services and resources. -Collaborate and consult with behavioral/mental health, psychiatric and medical providers, and other health service providers and community to best manage clinical caseload and ensure effective treatment. -Documentation of clinical services. -Maintain electronic medical and other records, including registries for high-risk clients/patients. -Marketing clinical services for the ISU Community Psychiatric Center. -Facilitate community partnerships. -Oversee the collection of revenue generated from clinical services. -Establish clientele and generate revenue to assist with a self-sustaining clinic. -May teach one course per Fall and Spring semester, to be negotiated. -Supervise psychology externs and teach, as negotiated, within the clinical psychology and other curricula. -Four (4) weeks of after hour call at the ISU Community Psychiatric Center.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited graduate program in psychology.
- Completion of an APA/CPA accredited internship program.
- Licensed or License-eligible in the State of Idaho.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
- Two years or more experience as a licensed practitioner.
- Experience working with college students or adolescent clients.
Additional Information
Y ou must submit your CV/resume, cover letter, and list of three (3) professional references, including current contact information. This position will remain open until it is filled . Salary will be between $140,000 and $150,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
