About the opportunity The Wests Group is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Patisserie Team Leader to join our Catering team at Wests Mayfield.

This hands-on leadership role supports the day-to-day operation of Ada May Pantry and Reload Café, ensuring exceptional customer service, quality food and beverage offerings, and high operational standards. You will lead by example, support and develop team members, and help create a welcoming experience for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the café team during service.
  • Prepare and serve food, beverages and barista-quality coffee.
  • Deliver friendly and efficient service to members and guests.
  • Operate and balance tills.
  • Set up and pack down workstations.
  • Maintain clean, safe and well-presented work areas.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and safe food handling standards are met.
  • Support the Catering leadership team in achieving operational excellence.

About you You are a passionate hospitality professional with previous café or food service leadership experience. You enjoy leading from the front, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to delivering outstanding customer service. To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a café, patisserie or hospitality environment.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team.
  • Strong barista skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
  • A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
