Role Overview
The Procurement Officer (Warehouse-In-Charge) is responsible for managing the company's procurement activities while overseeing warehouse operations, inventory control, and material coordination. This role ensures the timely procurement, proper storage, and efficient distribution of materials to support business operations. The successful candidate will also play a key role in establishing and leading the company's new warehouse, ensuring efficient processes and inventory management from the ground up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related field; Engineering graduates are highly preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement and warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in procurement processes, supplier coordination, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and materials management.
- Strong negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across different departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchasing, and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring proper receiving, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock availability and minimize losses.
- Coordinate material requirements with internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability for operational needs.
- Establish, organize, and lead the company's new warehouse, including developing warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare regular procurement and warehouse reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procurement procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement strategies, warehouse efficiency, and inventory management processes.
- Perform other procurement and warehouse-related duties as assigned by management.
