Job description

ThinkMarkets is a global financial technology company specializing in multi-asset trading solutions. Through our flagship ThinkTrader platform, we empower clients worldwide to trade 24/7 across global markets. Our mission is to bridge the gap between traders, investors, and platforms, providing seamless access to thousands of financial instruments.

We are looking for a commercially driven Partnerships Manager to support the growth of our partnerships business across the Southeast Asian region.

Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, this role is responsible for developing and managing relationships with Introducing Brokers (IBs), Affiliates, Educators, Money Managers, and other strategic partners. You will focus on driving new partner acquisition while growing an existing portfolio of partners to increase client acquisition, first-time deposits, trading activity, and overall revenue.

Working closely with Marketing, Product, Dealing, Operations, and Client Services, you will help execute regional growth initiatives and identify new business opportunities across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of Introducing Brokers (IBs), Affiliates, Educators, Money Managers, and Strategic Partners across Southeast Asia.
  • Drive new partner acquisition while expanding existing partner relationships to achieve regional revenue targets.
  • Build and execute business development strategies to increase client acquisition, first-time deposits (FTDs), trading volume, and partner profitability.
  • Maintain strong commercial relationships through regular meetings, business reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts while reactivating dormant partners where appropriate.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, rebate structures, and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing on regional campaigns, events, seminars, webinars, and partner initiatives.
  • Work alongside Product, Dealing, Operations, Compliance, and Client Services teams to deliver an exceptional partner experience.
  • Monitor partner performance, analyse trading activity and revenue metrics, and recommend strategies to maximise growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipeline updates, and business forecasts.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and partner meetings across Southeast Asia.
  • Travel across the region as required to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Ensure all partnership activities comply with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in FX/CFD Partnerships, Institutional Sales, Business Development, Affiliate Management, or Account Management.
  • Strong understanding of the FX/CFD industry, including partnership models, rebates, spreads, trading products, and client acquisition strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio (book) of Introducing Brokers (IBs), Affiliates, Money Managers, or strategic partners.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth through partner relationships.
  • Existing network within the Southeast Asian FX/CFD industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
  • Comfortable analysing performance metrics, revenue reports, and trading activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Additional Southeast Asian language skills (Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Southeast Asia.
  • Willingness to relocate to, or be based full-time in, our Kuala Lumpur office.
