Job description

As Talent Acquisition Partner, Ireland, you will own recruitment delivery across assigned vacancies in Ireland, from role briefing and sourcing strategy through to shortlist, candidate management, offer and onboarding handover.

This is a business-facing Talent Acquisition role. You will be close to hiring managers and business leaders, helping them understand the Irish talent market, shape realistic hiring plans and make confident recruitment decisions.

You will manage both immediate hiring needs and longer-term pipeline activity across specialist, operational, technical and project-led roles. The role will suit someone who enjoys stakeholder partnership, direct sourcing, candidate engagement and market insight.

You will need to be confident challenging role requirements where needed, keeping recruitment activity moving, and giving hiring managers clear advice on candidate availability, salary expectations and route to market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Partners across Ireland to understand recruitment demand, workforce gaps, business priorities and project mobilisation needs
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment across Ireland Engineering and Operations & Maintenance roles
  • Leading vacancy briefing meetings and agreeing clear search strategy, route to market, timelines, assessment approach and candidate profile
  • Recruiting across specialist technical, operational, site-based, commercial and project-led roles
  • Using SmartRecruiters as the source of truth for vacancy, candidate, interview, offer and reporting activity
  • Building strong candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, SmartRecruiters, job boards and market mapping
  • Screening and qualifying candidates against role requirements, motivation, salary expectations, notice period, location and right to work
  • Reviewing candidate quality and submitting clear, relevant shortlists to hiring managers
  • Managing candidate communication, interview feedback, hiring manager updates and recruitment process momentum
  • Completing candidate sound checks before offer to understand expectations, motivation and offer risk
  • Supporting offer management, candidate closing and escalation where required
  • Building talent communities across priority Ireland markets, including O&M, engineering, transport, water, commercial, project delivery and early careers
  • Sharing market insight, salary intelligence, competitor activity and candidate availability to support workforce planning
  • Supporting local employer brand activity so candidates understand Egis’ projects, growth and career opportunities in Ireland

We are looking for an experienced recruiter or Talent Acquisition Partner who understands how to recruit in the Irish market and can work confidently with hiring managers and HR stakeholders.

You may already be working as a Talent Acquisition Partner, Recruitment Business Partner, Senior Recruiter, Internal Recruiter or an agency recruiter looking to move into a more strategic in-house role.

You will bring:

  • Proven recruitment experience, ideally within engineering, infrastructure, construction, operations, transport, energy, utilities or a similar technical environment
  • Experience recruiting in Ireland or strong knowledge of the Irish recruitment market
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment across technical, operational, project-based or business-critical roles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise, influence and challenge hiring managers
  • Direct sourcing experience, including LinkedIn Recruiter, talent pools, referrals, job boards and market mapping
  • Strong candidate management skills, with the ability to engage, assess and close candidates in competitive markets
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System to manage vacancy, candidate and offer activity
  • Good understanding of workforce planning, pipeline building and talent communities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, organised and candidate-focused approach

Experience within engineering, infrastructure, transport, O&M, utilities, energy, water, nuclear, construction or consultancy environments would be highly beneficial.

SmartRecruiters, LinkedIn Recruiter, early careers recruitment or proactive pipeline-building experience would also be an advantage.

This role will be based in Ireland, with Dundrum as the main office location and an expectation of working from the office three days per week. There will also be flexibility to work across our key Ireland locations, including Citywest, Port Tunnel and other project or operational sites as needed.

Regular visibility across the Irish business will be important to build strong relationships with hiring managers, HR stakeholders and business leaders.

You will join a UK&I Talent Acquisition team focused on moving from reactive recruitment to proactive talent supply. This means using better data, stronger market insight, direct sourcing and talent communities to support current hiring needs and future business growth.

This is an opportunity to help shape how Egis recruits in Ireland, building trusted relationships with the business while creating stronger pipelines for the skills we need now and in the future.
