Job description
Grow your cloud expertise with Telenor as a Cloud Infrastructure Expert (OCI). You’ll work with secure, resilient platforms and play a key role in delivering stable cloud services that support business-critical needs.
This is what you’ll work with
You’ll operate and continuously improve cloud infrastructure in Oracle Cloud, helping ensure platforms are secure, reliable, and performant.
A key part of your role will be driving automation and consistency through Infrastructure as Code, helping scale and standardise how we manage cloud environments. You’ll also monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to strengthening reliability and resilience across our cloud services.
You’ll work with networking, identity and access management, backup and disaster recovery, FinOps, collaborating with our application teams in running workloads efficiently. Your work will also include contributing to standardisation, documentation, and continuous improvement across cloud operations.
By working closely with security, operations, and application teams, you’ll help modernise our cloud platforms and build solutions that are stable today and ready for future needs.
How we work
You’ll be part of an international collaborative and supportive environment where knowledge sharing is part of everyday work. We partner closely with teams across security, operations, and applications, solving challenges together.
You’ll have space to take ownership, suggest improvements, and grow your skills while contributing to solutions that make a real impact. We value curiosity, continuous learning, taking initiatives and team spirit.
What we are looking for
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud operations, system administration, or platform engineering
- Good understanding of OCI services such as compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration and core networking concepts
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure issues and handling incidents in a structured and practical way
- Experience with automation, scripting, or CI/CD pipelines is considered an advantage
- Knowledge of security, governance, backup, disaster recovery, or cloud cost optimisation practices (FinOps) is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
You don’t have to know everything – what matters most is your motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
We welcome candidates with experience from other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) who are motivated to deepen their expertise in OCI.
What you get with us
You’ll join a growing organisation of around 60 employees in Portugal while also being part of Telenor – an established Nordic company with a strong presence across Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.
We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous development are encouraged. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues on modern cloud platforms and business-critical services, with the freedom to take ownership, influence how we work, and contribute to building secure, resilient, and future-ready cloud solutions.
This is a role where you can deepen your cloud expertise, broaden your experience in an international setting, and make a meaningful impact on the evolution of our platforms and operations.
You’ll also enjoy benefits such as your birthday off, Urban Sports membership, access to Coursera courses, healthcare insurance, personal leave, extended parental leave, a share programme, and flexible benefits.
