Farm Manager

Role summary; The Farm Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of day-to-day farming operations to ensure efficient, productive and sustainable agricultural activities. Key Responsibilities; 1. Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily farm operations, including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting. 2. Monitor crop growth and field conditions, and report any pest, disease, or nutrient-related issues. 3. Support the implementation of good agricultural practices and ensure compliance with company production standards. 4. Supervise field workers and casual laborers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. 5. Maintain accurate records of farm activities, input usage, labor deployment, and production outputs. 6. Assist in managing agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals, and equipment. 7. Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of farm machinery, tools, and equipment. 8. Participate in farmer engagement, training, and extension activities as required. 9. Assist with data collection and reporting for farm performance, productivity, and operational efficiency. 10. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies on the farm. 11. Support post-harvest activities, including drying, storage, quality control, and inventory management. 12. Identify operational challenges and provide recommendations for improving farm productivity and efficiency. 13. Perform any other duties assigned by management to support the achievement of the company’s agricultural objectives.
