Every new employee’s journey begins with an exceptional onboarding experience, and the Talent Acquisition Onboarding Coordinator plays a critical role in making that happen.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating across teams, improving processes, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring every new employee has a seamless transition into Electric Boat. You’ll work closely with candidates, Human Resources, Medical, Security, Payroll, Workforce Development, and other key partners to create an organized, welcoming, and efficient onboarding experience.
This role provides excellent exposure to Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and cross-functional operations while developing project coordination, communication, and relationship-building skills.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires.
- Partner with Medical, Security, Payroll, Training, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate a smooth hiring and onboarding experience.
- Process employment eligibility verification using the E-Verify system.
- Review and validate new hire documentation, ensuring accuracy before submitting information for payroll processing.
- Monitor onboarding milestones and proactively resolve issues that could delay a candidate’s start date.
- Support new hire orientation sessions and help create a positive first impression of Electric Boat.
- Provide timely, professional communication to candidates, hiring managers, and internal business partners throughout the onboarding process.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and enhance the overall candidate experience.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume Talent Acquisition organization committed to operational excellence and customer service.
- Prepare and verify documents for New Hire Orientation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Up to 4 years of experience in Human Resources or an administrative support role.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Talent Acquisition or employee onboarding.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably iCIMS.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies.
