Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Denver, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, agile approach while helping create a welcoming environment for riders, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit platforms, parking areas, public access points, buildings, and perimeter areas, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and public activity to help support orderly operations, assist with directions and general information, and report suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate with site contacts, local authorities, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and operational concerns while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Security-related experience of 1+ years is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
