What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Interact with customers, visitors, and store associates in a courteous manner, provide directions and assistance when needed, and support de-escalation during customer service or loss prevention-related situations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
