Job description
Our Client, a global advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Technology Investment Banking team in New York.
The role offers significant client interaction, transaction leadership, and exposure to a highly active middle-market technology platform with a strong presence across software, fintech, tech-enabled services, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, recapitalization, and strategic advisory assignments.
- Manage all aspects of transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer outreach, process coordination, valuation analysis, and negotiation support.
- Oversee the preparation of client presentations, marketing materials, financial models, valuation analyses, and board materials.
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, private equity investors, legal counsel, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with private equity firms, strategic acquirers, and technology executives.
- Mentor, train, and manage Analysts, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development.
- Contribute to the continued growth of the Technology practice through sector expertise, market intelligence, and thought leadership.

Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of investment banking experience, including substantial M&A transaction execution experience.
- Prior experience within a Technology, TMT, Software, FinTech, or Tech-Enabled Services investment banking practice.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Strong understanding of software and recurring revenue business models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing junior bankers.
- Bachelor's degree required.
