Yard Technician - Austin, TX - STS

The Yard Technician maintains the cleanliness of the yard and keeps rental equipment organized to minimize customer wait time. This position assists customers with equipment check-in, check-out, and basic operational guidance.

Essential Functions

• Prepare equipment for rent by cleaning with a power washer
• Ensure proper PPE is worn while working in the yard
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment
• Provide customers with basic operational training as needed
• Stage equipment for deliveries
• Maintain proper yard organization
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the yard
• Perform deliveries and pickups using a pickup truck as needed

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Valid state-issued Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

• Environment consistent with construction sites, equipment yards, and repair shop settings
• Regular outdoor exposure to weather conditions
• Exposure to heavy equipment and active work environments

• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regular bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching
• Extended periods of standing and walking
• Ability to safely operate equipment and vehicles
