Role Overview
End-to-end accountability for a portfolio of six interdependent market-infrastructure platforms, spanning the full trade lifecycle from execution and market monitoring through clearing, settlement, risk, collateral, and analytics. Responsible for defining product strategy, regulatory alignment, and technology evolution across highly scalable, low-latency, and regulator-grade systems supporting multi-asset markets.
Product, Domain and Customer Responsibilities
Define and implement portfolio-wide product strategy and multi-year roadmaps across the full trade lifecycle, spanning execution, market monitoring, clearing, settlement, risk, collateral, and analytics
the integrated risk, control, and data fabric underpinning all platforms, ensuring consistent treatment of margin, credit exposure, collateral, surveillance, and regulatory reporting
Specify that platforms meet core CCP and CSD obligations, including robust margining and default management, member risk controls, settlement finality, asset safety, custody integrity, liquidity risk management, and operational resilience
Define real-time and batch processing capabilities supporting volume, low-latency market operations, including pre-trade controls, post-trade clearing, settlement, and downstream reporting
Ensure margining, exposure, credit risk, and collateral management, including initial and variation margin, add-ons, stress testing, concentration risk, and breach management are aligned with industry standards
Drive enterprise capabilities for collateral eligibility, valuation, optimisation, substitution, mobilisation, and settlement across cleared and non-cleared workflows and multiple asset classes
Own product direction for market integrity, surveillance, and compliance controls, including order- and trade-level monitoring, alerting, case management, and regulatory reporting
Lead data, analytics, and insight strategy across all platforms, delivering intraday and end-of-day risk, stress and scenario analysis, regulatory disclosures, and executive dashboards
Establish strong data governance, lineage, quality, and observability standards across trading, clearing, settlement, and post-trade systems
Define and implement common non-functional product standards across the portfolio, including availability, latency, throughput, scalability, security, and disaster recovery
Act as senior product authority for regulatory change, supervisory reviews, audits, and model governance, ensuring platforms remain regulator-grade, resilient, and future-proof
Lead senior-level engagement with exchanges, CCPs, CSDs, and market participants, representing product strategy and ensuring client, regulatory, and operational requirements are reflected in platform evolution.
Skills & Experience
Senior product leadership in exchanges, CCPs, CSDs, or market infrastructure providers
Deep expertise in trading systems, clearing, settlement, risk, and collateral
Strong understanding of market microstructure, margining, and post-trade workflows
Ability to work credibly with quants, engineers, regulators, and senior executives
General Regulatory knowledge: MIFID, EMIR, UMR, SFTR, MAR, CSDR, Basel frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science
Hands-on experience with LSEG Millennium platforms (required)
Experience leading large-scale, multi-platform product portfolios
Experience in delivery in agile / scaled-agile environments
Exposure to cloud migration and platform modernisation programs
