Amee Bay, LLC, a leading Federal Government Contractor, is seeking a skilled Brazer / Welder to join our Ship Repair Division. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives on challenges and aims to exceed customer expectations. As a part of our team, you will work with both aluminum and steel in various environments, including on-site and onboard US Navy and US Coast Guard vessels, ensuring project completion on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and uphold OSHA safety practices consistently.
• Qualify and maintain standards for MIG, TIG, and other welding processes as required by projects.
• Field install various welds and structural components, including duct work, piping, light fixtures, and metal sheeting.
• Choose appropriate filler materials based on project requirements and past experience.
• Communicate job progress to the Job Lead, Team Lead, or Project Manager and recommend necessary adjustments.

Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and pass a drug screening.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; candidates with an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Expertise in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding methods.
• Proficient in using various fabrication and testing measuring instruments.
• Willingness to learn about marine piping systems (temperature/pressure parameters).
• Understanding of joint design requirements for welding and fabrication of piping systems and structures.
• Familiarity with hot work requirements and basic ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge of operational and hydrostatic testing requirements.
• Basic understanding of acceptance/rejection criteria for NDT inspections.
• Capability to pass a written workmanship exam.
• Strong written communication skills for report writing.
• Ability to become Competent Person certified.
• Skills in planning and recommending system configuration changes.
• Experience using mechanical and digital testing equipment and tools related to metallurgy.
• Willingness to travel both CONUS and OCONUS as needed.
