Job description

This position will work between the Maryland office, pier-side on a barge, and one week offshore for a sea trial. Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance and must be U.S. citizens. The expected work schedule is 40 hours per week in the office and 50 hours per week when offshore.

Marine Engineer - Maritime Operations
• The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Ocean or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and experience in the marine industry, fielding shipboard systems and associated technologies.
• A minimum of two years of management experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Five to ten years of technical experience in engineering processes, including concept development, analysis, design, drawing, integration, and testing of complex mechanical or ocean-deployed systems.
• You will independently manage engineering and design activities and report to the Project Manager. Responsibilities include monitoring progress and ensuring the technical soundness of design solutions.
• You will collaborate with all departments to support manufacturing, integration, and testing, and provide leadership to junior staff. Experience in maritime or subsea engineering is highly preferred.
• Required skills include industrial automation and controls, with emphasis on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with maritime port operations, crane operations, cargo handling, and shipboard equipment is required.
