Job description

Our Barcelona studio is looking for a Game Designer to join the team. Your main responsibilities will be:
• Design fun and immersive gameplay mechanics, meta-game features and stories, following briefings and direction from your lead.
• Taking care of all aspects of game design: prototyping these mechanics, benchmarking references, documenting, implementing in game, testing and fine-tuning them.
• Keeping documentation up to date with special focus on UI fakes and flows and the overall User Experience.
• Overall work in creative, benchmarking, documentation and analyzing tasks
• Follow-up, maintenance and continuous improvement of assigned features
• Team coordination: coordinating with art and development teams assigned to the project with the associated producer
• 3+ Years of experience working in Game Design
• Strong knowledge of Game Design foundations (3Cs, gameplay systems, AI, learning curve, difficulty balancing, progression balancing, UI, accessibility…)
• Able to convey ideas concisely and as part of a detailed analysis, and to clearly formalize complex concepts and ideas
• Good UI and documentation skills, with proven experience on this field
• High visual creativity
• Able to illustrate and/or prototype your ideas visually using standard industry production tools (Photoshop, PowerPoint, Figma, Confluence, Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max, Unity, etc.)
• Knowledge of classic console and freemium mobile game market
• Motivation and ability to communicate as part of the project development team
• Able to listen to feedback from other people and constantly critique your work to achieve the best possible quality
• Good level of English
