Job description

Our client, a leader in structural steel manufacturing, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production of modular base frames and enclosure products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Clayton, NC

Pay Range: $17.00-$22.00

Shift:

What's the Job?
• Perform structural steel welding using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques on various materials including steel and aluminum.
• Utilize oxygen acetylene torches and plasma arc equipment for cutting steel of different thicknesses.
• Work collaboratively with a team to complete structural parts and assemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality systems such as ISO9001:2015.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, and verify work conformance to specifications.

What's Needed?
• Minimum of 3 years of MIG, TIG, and Arc welding experience with steel and aluminum.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and assembly instructions.
• Experience with oxy acetylene cutting equipment and metalworking tools such as press brakes, drill presses, and shears.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and work 10-hour shifts, including weekends as required.
• Valid Driver’s License and successful background check and drug screening.
