About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Global GAAP Accounting Policy Controller to play a critical role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive GAAP accounting policy across our global insurance platform. In this key position, you will be responsible for crafting a consistent, defensible GAAP framework that operates effectively in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in GAAP accounting policy, exhibit strong technical judgment, and demonstrate a proactive, autonomous approach to their work. You should thrive in ambiguous situations, enjoy constructing and executing frameworks, and excel in collaborating with commercial and operational teams. Experience in public accounting or complex insurance settings is highly valued.

This is not just a theoretical role; we need a hands-on leader ready to engage with senior management to ensure that our policies are practical and effective in real-world operations.

Over time, you will evolve this role into a central GAAP Controller function, taking on global responsibilities for all policy-related matters. A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to navigate complexity while aligning accounting with business objectives are essential.
