Skilled Welder - Immediate Openings

Job Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Skilled Welder where you will play a vital role in assembling, welding, cutting, and brazing metal components using advanced flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. This position offers both independence and collaboration, allowing you to thrive with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Plan and execute work order procedures, gathering the necessary tools and materials as per job specifications.
• Utilize cutting, burning, and welding techniques to repair and fabricate a variety of items and equipment.
• Monitor welding and fitting processes to prevent overheating and material distortion.
• Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces securely.
• Maintain and organize equipment and work area to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Alert the supervisor regarding faulty equipment or defective materials promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to contribute to overall success.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Thorough understanding of welding machines and tools, including their design, uses, maintenance, and repair.
• Basic knowledge of design principles and tools critical for producing technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints.
• Excellent listening and reading comprehension skills for following diverse assignments.
• Fundamental mathematics skills relevant to welding tasks.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program.
• 5+ years of welding experience.
