Senior Associate – Model Validation & AI Governance

Hybrid – 3 days onsite

A Fortune 100 organization is seeking a Senior Associate – Model Validation & AI Governance to join its growing AI & Data function. This is an excellent opportunity for a model risk or validation professional looking to work at the forefront of AI governance within a highly regulated environment.

You’ll play a key role in validating predictive and AI/ML models, partnering with data science, model risk, and business stakeholders to ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance, and effective model controls across the model lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and challenge model methodologies, design choices, feature engineering, and evaluation metrics
• Conduct independent validation of predictive and AI/ML models, including challenger modelling where appropriate
• Translate governance and regulatory requirements into practical validation controls and frameworks
• Produce detailed validation reports and executive-ready summaries for senior stakeholders
• Define and enhance post-deployment monitoring frameworks covering drift, bias, stability, hallucinations, and model performance
• Support the development of AI governance standards, validation templates, and reusable frameworks across emerging AI use cases

Required Experience

• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar
• 4+ years’ experience in Model Validation, Model Risk, or Model Governance within a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques
• Hands-on experience with models such as regression, GBMs/XGBoost, GAMs, neural networks, and related ML approaches
• Proficiency in Python and SQL

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Generative AI / LLM evaluation, prompting, or RAG frameworks
