Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical vision and hands‑on expertise to execute platform solutions.
• Cloud computing infrastructure, including scale, performance, and cost management.
• Gather technical requirements, validate architecture, and create/review designs.
• Coordinate efforts across the data engineering, data curation, and platform engineering teams to successful completion.
• Guide engineering resources towards code standards and templates as part of data frameworks and patterns.
• Demonstrate ownership of technical stacks for individual cloud applications.
• Align with Abb Vie systems lifecycle standards and processes.
• Ability to manage time and deliver results across multiple work streams at once.
• Work with team members from around the globe (onsite, offshore).
• Onsite position/2 days a week WFH eligible. Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Applications and twelve (12) years of IT experience. Alternatively, the Employer will accept an alternative combination of education and experience: Master’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering/Applications and eight (8) years of IT experience.

Requires 8 years of experience in the following: hands‑on technical proficiency in Python, Apache, Spark, and SQL; AWS development with core AWS services like EC2, Glue, Spark, S3, Redshift, and Athena; relational and non‑relational databases from a data domain perspective; building data engineering pipelines using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and GlueETL; developing API architecture; and metadata management, data quality, master data, and data lineage.

Requires 3 years of experience in the following: serving as a Technical Project Owner; and serving as a Team Lead. Additional Information

Salary Range: $117,957 – $178,500 per year.
