MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Jr. Cloud Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of a federal government customer. You will play a crucial role in supporting the migration of legacy systems to secure, scalable cloud environments, enabling modern, efficient, and mission-ready IT operations.
- Responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of cloud environments.
- Handles the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud systems under the guidance of the cloud engineering team, while collaborating with engineering, development, and quality assurance teams to establish guidelines for automated monitoring and alerting protocols.
- Monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves any operational issues in cloud environments, maintaining thorough logs and operational records.
- Works with cross-functional infrastructure and engineering teams to identify and apply emerging trends and technologies in cloud solutions.
- Prepares and updates documentation to align with organizational standards and procedures related to cloud operations.
- Maintain compliance, security baselines, and conditional access policies
- Automate device provisioning and configuration using scripts and policies
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Jr. Cloud Engineer must have:
- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience
- Technical skills: Cloud computing (AWS and Azure), Python, PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Intune or other MDM tools, basic networking and security principles, and familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: Ability to work onsite, support device lifecycle management and endpoint security, maintain compliance with security baselines and conditional access policies, and automate provisioning/configuration processes; up to 10% travel required

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
