Robotics Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced RPA Developer to support the design, development, and ongoing optimization of robotic process automation solutions across enterprise systems. This role will be responsible for analyzing business processes, building and maintaining bots, and ensuring the stability and scalability of the RPA environment.

The ideal candidate is both hands-on technically and capable of working cross-functionally with business and IT stakeholders to deliver automation solutions that drive efficiency and value. This position requires 2–3 days per week onsite in the Reading, PA area.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement RPA solutions using Automation Anywhere or similar tools.
• Analyze, maintain, and support existing RPA applications for IT and end-user groups.
• Monitor bot performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements or fixes.
• Review bot scripts developed by offshore and onsite teams to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and recommend optimal automation solutions.
• Conduct proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate automation feasibility and business impact.
• Support RPA infrastructure, including architecture, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategy.
• Perform system and performance analysis to identify improvement opportunities across automations.
• Document solutions, testing processes, and system changes in alignment with development standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of hands-on RPA development.
• Strong experience with Automation Anywhere (preferred) or similar platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Kofax.
• Experience with business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution implementation.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including test case development and execution.
• Familiarity with RPA infrastructure, including performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity implications related to automation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with document automation or Agentic AI.
• Technical exposure to SQL, Java/web technologies, REST APIs, or Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, ANT, jQuery, or DB2.
