We’re looking for a Senior Financial Systems Developer – TM1 to join a small, highly collaborative Data & Analytics team that supports and evolves our enterprise financial system, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). This is a senior‑level role where your expertise will directly shape how teams plan, forecast, and make strategic decisions across the business. You’ll optimize our current TM1 environment, design intuitive self‑service tools, and partner closely with finance and technical teams to deliver scalable, high‑impact solutions - all in a culture that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement. *The target salary range for this role extends into the $140k range, depending on experience and overall fit.* About the Role As a Senior Financial Systems Developer, you’ll play a key role in modernizing and expanding our TM1 ecosystem. You’ll balance hands‑on development with strategic thinking, helping business partners translate complex needs into elegant, reliable solutions. Your work will enable faster insights, stronger forecasting, and smarter decisions - while leaving a clear handprint on the tools and processes you build. Key Responsibilities Design, build, test, and implement scalable models and enhancements in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Optimize and modernize existing TM1 models and processes for performance and reliability Proactively monitor system health and resolve issues Develop intuitive self‑service tools for business users Introduce innovative ideas that improve usability and strategic impact Partner with finance and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions Collaborate with data engineering, reporting, and IT teams on architecture and integration Provide technical leadership and mentor team members Champion continuous improvement across tools, processes, and workflows Create clear documentation and deliver hands‑on training Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences Apply strong business acumen to ensure solutions align with company strategy Qualifications What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field 3+ years of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) development and support experience 2+ years of budgeting and forecasting experience (preferred) Experience with TM1 model development, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization Experience with PAW and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE/PAX) Strong understanding of database and data warehousing concepts (Snowflake experience a plus) Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar reporting tools Programming or scripting experience (SQL, Python, HTML) Advanced Excel modeling skills Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment A strong desire to exceed expectations Why You’ll Love This Role Make a meaningful impact on enterprise‑wide financial planning and decision‑making Enjoy big‑company resources with a small‑company feel Work in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive culture Lead innovation and continuous improvement Contribute to a purpose‑driven company focused on making lives better Location & Travel This role is based in the United States.
