Our Cardiac Pre/Post Unit (CPPU) provides specialized care for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, both invasive and non-invasive. This fast-paced, highly specialized setting is ideal for nurses looking to expand their cardiac knowledge, sharpen assessment skills, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team throughout the patient’s procedural journey—from pre-op preparation to post-procedure recovery. What You'll Do • Preparing and recovering patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology (EP) procedures, and other non-invasive cardiac testing • Monitoring cardiac rhythms and recognizing post-procedural complications • Managing sheath removals, vascular access sites, and post-procedure hemodynamic stability • Administering and monitoring IV medications, including cardiac drips and anticoagulants • Collaborating closely with cardiologists, EP specialists, and procedural teams to ensure seamless patient care • Educating patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and ongoing cardiac care What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
