South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings
About Us
South Carolina ETV and Public Radio is looking for a talented Content Creator & Video Editor to join our team and help us elevate our social media presence through compelling educational storytelling and visually engaging content.
Job Responsibilities
Creates, edits, and optimizes short-form and long-form video content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
Captures and edits high-quality photos and videos that align with brand aesthetics and messaging.
Develops engaging and creative social media posts, reels, and stories to drive audience engagement.
Edits videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, VEED or similar editing platforms ensuring high-quality and platform-optimized content.
Stays updated on social media trends, emerging formats, and viral content to craft innovative and shareable media.
Works closely with the communications and social media teams to develop content strategies and meet campaign goals.
Repurposes existing content into fresh, engaging formats tailored for different platforms.
Manages content organization including file storage and version control, to maintain efficient workflows.
Travel is required for on-location shoots, events and content production.
After-hours or weekend commitments may be required for events or timely content production.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in communications, multimedia production, digital media or similar field or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in social media content creation and video editing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator) and other v video editing tools.
- Strong storytelling ability and an eye for compelling visuals.
- Experience with DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio equipment is a plus.
- Understanding of different social media platforms, their formats, and best practices for video content.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation is a bonus.
