Overview The Facilities coordinator oversees the daily operations and maintenance of the Manitowoc and Pleasant Prairie laboratory facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. Responsibilities Maintain an organized, clean, a safe working and storage environment; collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure appropriate supply organization and storage. Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and cleaning activities for both laboratories. Supervise and ensure proper storage and disposal of slides and blocks according to established storage plans. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support specialized services, maintenance, and facility projects. Monitor and support adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure operational readiness. Develop, implement, and track preventive maintenance schedules; respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies, escalating as appropriate. Partner with laboratory staff and leadership to address facility needs, identify improvement opportunities, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in facility management or maintenance; laboratory, industrial, or construction environments preferred. Demonstrated leadership, team coordination, and communication skills. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently across two sites.
