Lead Full Stack Software Engineer

Hybrid Opportunity - 50% onsite monthly in North Carolina. We are looking for a passionate Full Stack Engineer to create modern web experiences that prioritize user engagement within a cutting-edge financial services technology organization. This role is heavily UI focused and emphasizes the development of scalable, high-quality front end applications using Angular (v17+), TypeScript, and Node.js.

As part of a collaborative Agile team, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver intuitive and reliable interfaces for data-driven workflows. We value clean code, automated testing, strong collaboration, and continuous improvement in our work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular 17+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Build reusable UI components and shared libraries to support complex functionality.
• Integrate with backend services and APIs using Node.js (NestJS exposure preferred).
• Collaborate with product and design partners to translate requirements into polished user experiences.
• Apply best practices in component architecture, state management, and frontend standards.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Jest, Cypress, and related tools.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
• Take stories from concept through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute innovative ideas that improve developer efficiency and UI quality.

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in frontend or UI-focused software development.
• Strong proficiency in Angular (17+), TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, and Node.js.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Adept at working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a hybrid team environment.
• Experience supporting UI-heavy, data-driven applications is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with NestJS.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
• Understanding frontend performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
• Experience in the financial sector is strongly desired.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering may be considered.
