About the Role
Deloitte’s award-winning Technology and Transformation consulting practice spans a wide range of services which has positioned us as a market leader around the world.
Our Systems Delivery and Modernisation practice in Auckland is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant, committed to achieving outstanding results for our clients.
As a Senior Consultant, you will work on complex digital transformation initiatives for high-profile clients across New Zealand. You will drive projects from strategic scoping and requirements definition through to governance, process design, and stakeholder alignment. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating business objectives into actionable solutions, ensuring measurable business impact and sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Play a senior role in end-to-end delivery of digital transformation projects, coordinating cross-functional and multinational teams to achieve strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment of requirements, priorities, and delivery milestones.
- Change Management: Lead change management activities, driving stakeholder engagement, communication, and user adoption for innovative IT platforms.
- Process Optimization: Facilitate workshops, gather and translate business requirements, and support solution design and process improvement.
- Governance & KPIs: Define project roadmaps, governance structures, and key performance indicators to monitor progress and support executive decision-making.
What Is Essential for the Role-
- 6+ Years Big-4 Consulting Experience (Deloitte/PwC): Proven delivery in professional services, operating effectively across multiple engagements and stakeholders.
- Digital & Business Transformation Delivery: Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end transformation initiatives—from discovery and scoping through design, delivery, adoption, and benefits realisation.
- Business Analysis & Requirements Expertise: Strong capability in eliciting requirements, translating them into functional specifications/user stories, and partnering with technical teams to shape practical solutions.
- Programme/Project Governance: Experience establishing delivery roadmaps, governance forums, and KPIs to monitor progress, manage risks/issues, and support senior decision-making.
- Stakeholder Management, Workshops & Enablement: Confident facilitating workshops, aligning diverse stakeholder groups, and producing SOPs/training materials to support rollout and adoption.
- Testing & UAT Leadership: Experience defining testing approaches and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality expectations.
- Qualifications & Certifications: MBA (or equivalent) and relevant credentials such as PRINCE2, ITIL Foundation, Business Analysis certification (e.g., IIBA/IQQBA), and/or ISTQB (testing).
