Role overview We are looking for a talented AI/ML Engineer to join our team and work on advanced projects spanning Natural Language Processing, generative AI, and machine learning. You will design, build, and operate intelligent systems that support data-driven decision-making, while ensuring alignment with data governance standards and the EU AI Act.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Design, train, and deploy machine learning models and AI applications, including LLMs and generative AI, across a range of real-world use cases. Integrate generative AI APIs and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for targeted applications. Build and optimize ML classifiers through rigorous feature selection and algorithm tuning. Contribute to the improvement and systematic evaluation of machine translation (MT) engines, applying quality metrics such as BLEU scores. Collaborate with data stewards to define data governance rules, quality controls, and bias mitigation strategies. Design technical architectures for NLP/ML/AI solutions and coordinate their delivery with engineering teams. Implement MLOps workflows (CI/CD/CD) for model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and retraining. Produce technical documentation and communicate AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and the requirements of the EU AI Act. To excel in this role, you'll need: Strong proficiency in Python and R, along with key AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, SpaCy, and NLTK. Solid understanding of ML algorithms (SVM, Neural Networks, Decision Forests) and deep knowledge of generative AI and large language models. Hands-on experience with cloud model training platforms such as AWS SageMaker or Azure Machine Learning Studio. Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Studio). Experience with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow) and responsible AI practices (bias detection via IBM AIF360, Fairlearn; explainability via SHAP, LIME). Working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and data visualization tools (D3.js, GGplot). Good applied statistics skills and a data-driven mindset. Strong communication skills in English, French is a plus. Nice to have: One of the following or an equivalent: AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, or SAS Certified Professional AI and Machine Learning.
