Job description

Fuel your Passion

The candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, testing, restoration and/or reassembly of components from various types of BH (Nuovo Pignone) products, such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal/Reciprocating Compressors, and Turbo Expanders. Activities must follow applicable technical specifications, product technical drawings, and the defined work process, with the goal of repairing the components and making them operational again.

All activities must be carried out in compliance with the safety and quality standards established by the company for the relevant work areas.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to coordinate, motivate, and develop a team of operators while fostering a collaborative and results‑oriented work environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a structured Service or Manufacturing environment, with solid familiarity with operational processes, quality standards, and the dynamics typical of organized industrial settings.
  • • Supervising and monitoring compliance by individual workers with their legal obligations, company provisions regarding health and safety, the safety measures indicated in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) of the various workstations, as well as the correct use of collective and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • • Assigning each operator their daily tasks in accordance with the priorities of the ongoing order and/or production. Ensuring that only workers who have received adequate instructions access areas that expose them to serious and specific risks.
  • • Ensuring that workers are informed about the risks related to their activities, promoting the exchange of information between shifts and daily inspections of the workstation.
  • • In the event of behaviors that do not comply with company health and safety provisions, intervening to correct them by providing the necessary safety instructions.
  • • In the event of failure to implement the given instructions or persistent non-compliance, stopping the worker’s activity and informing direct supervisors.
  • • In the event of non-compliance with the Life Saving Rules (LSR), detection of deficiencies in equipment or tools, or any hazardous condition, temporarily stopping the activity if necessary and, in any case, promptly reporting any identified non-conformities to their supervisor.
  • • Promoting the activation of the STOP WORK practice among all operators. • Actively participating in the drafting and periodic review of JSAs as well as in the HSE evaluation processes of changes to the technological cycle, areas, and workstations.
  • • Supporting the department in completing and/or implementing identified improvement actions (Lean & Digital) and in maintaining order (housekeeping) in the work areas.
  • • Actively supporting investigations into incidents and near misses in order to identify improvement actions that prevent similar events from recurring.
  • • Promoting employee involvement in prevention activities, including collecting concerns and suggesting feasible solutions for the continuous improvement of safety, and supporting the implementation of identified solutions.
  • • Supporting the department in organizing weekly Safety Talks and ensuring the participation of all employees.
  • • Assisting newly hired and/or new workers in the department, particularly Short Service Employees (SSE), in each new activity or workstation by illustrating critical aspects, hazards, and risks related to the assigned task; instructing them on operational and safety procedures to follow and supporting training on the correct use of equipment, machines, and systems.
  • • Verifying the correct drafting and completeness of the assigned documentation (cycles, tests and inspections, drawings, etc.). • Collaborating with the Quality department for prompt reporting and proper resolution of Non-Conformities.
  • • Ensuring that at each workstation, tools, instruments, and equipment are correctly used and put back in order at the end of the activity.
  • • Assisting operators—taking into account their level of experience—and facilitating necessary conversations (technical and non-technical) between the workshop and support functions (Safety, Quality, Engineering, etc.).
  • • Collaborating and facilitating handovers between shifts by leading the Shift Control Center.
  • • Ensuring that existing (or newly introduced) processes and procedures are adopted, including the proper use of documentation to be produced or tracked, whether paper-based or digital.
  • • Using and/or supporting the correct use of Digital tools, in turn supporting operators in their daily use.
  • • Supporting the development of activities in order to achieve the objectives assigned to the work group (in terms of efficiency, project delivery within expected timelines and costs). .

Requirements of the Role

  • Knowledge of products in the Oil & Gas sector
  • Understanding of precision mechanical assembly
  • Availability to work in shifts (including weekends, if necessary)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email, etc.)
  • Teamwork attitude
  • Possession of an EU work permit
  • Willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of rotating balancing principles and use of balancing machines
