Job description
Job Title : Operations Manager – Residential Services Position Summary : This position serves in a leadership role overseeing the agency’s Residential service programs and Camp and Volunteer Coordinator and provides support to the Director Residential Services. Essential Functions : Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and ongoing administrative management of Site Managers and Camp and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure quality services to individuals. Oversees overall site staffing with the site managers. Assists Site Managers as needed to hire DSPs. Provides oversight in site administrative, regulatory and environmental compliance. Serves as back up and assistance for site managers and Director of Residential Services as needed. Works with SSAs and housing authorities to manage and facilitate lease management for waiver sites. Responsible for Camp/Volunteer coordinator in overall camp paradise compliance and utilization. Serves on both internal and external committees. Represents The Society with a professional attitude and positive intention while promoting effective internal and external relationships, communication and advocacy. Serves as a self-motivated, dependable, flexible and collaborative leader. Adheres to The Society’s policies and acts as a role model in adherence to these policies. Performs all other duties as assigned. Bona-fide Occupationally Required Competencies and Credentials : Bachelors Degree in education, psychology, human services, social services or nursing preferred or at least five years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities. Displays basic knowledge of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Electronic Verification Record, US Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Metro Housing Authority (MMHA). Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Department of Medicaid and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities regulations, waiver compliance and QARN regulations. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must have basic computer and word processing skills. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, good driving record, and carry the proper liability insurance amounts required by The Society. Maintains current certification in CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration and Health Related Activities and PMT. Location : Main Office, various sites as needed Travel : Meetings and site visits within the agency; meetings and seminars outside of the agency Reports to : Director of Residential Services FLSA Status : Exempt; Full-time (40 hrs. /week) Supervises : Site Managers, ICF and Community; Direct Support Professionals and Camp and Volunteer Coordinator. Works with : Individuals, families, external providers and professionals, medical specialists, department directors and administrative support staff, maintenance department, human resource representative, program and site management, the county board and Board of Trustees. Physical Demands/Work Environment : The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands: While performing duties of the job, employee is required to stand, walk, sit, drive, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Based on results of the Hazard Assessment for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), PPE may be required as outlined in the Infection Prevention and Control Manual and/or the Covid-19 Safety Preparedness and Response Plan. Required PPE may include: gloves, masks, gowns, goggles, face shields and/or N95 respirators.
