Overview The Vice President, Investments is responsible for the strategic leadership, execution, and ongoing performance of Patelco’s investment services program. This role owns the development and implementation of strategies that drive program growth, member engagement, advisor productivity, and financial performance, while ensuring strong operational controls and regulatory compliance. The VP provides enterprise‑level leadership to a team of Financial Advisors, Associates, and Sales Assistants and is accountable for program operations, advisor development, budget management, and member and team education related to investment services. This role serves as the primary executive liaison to the broker‑dealer and works closely with Patelco’s senior leadership, delivery, marketing, and branch teams to integrate investment services into the broader credit union delivery model. Responsibilities Strategy, Leadership & Program Oversight Lead investment strategic planning, execution, and performance monitoring aligned with Patelco’s enterprise growth and member experience objectives. Provide executive leadership and direction to the Investment Services program, ensuring sustainable growth, advisor effectiveness, and strong risk management. Develop and execute a multi‑year strategy and roadmap to scale the Investment Services program, including growing net new members and net new assets under management (AUM). Partner with the Patelco Leadership Team to build and deepen member relationships and expand investment engagement across delivery channels. Own operating model effectiveness and drive advisor productivity through defined performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement. Remain abreast of industry, competitor, regulatory, and market trends to ensure ongoing relevance, performance, and competitiveness of the program. Advisor Leadership & Talent Management Establish performance expectations, goals, and accountability frameworks for Financial Advisors and support development of individual business plans. Provide ongoing sales coaching, performance management, and leadership support to drive advisor productivity and goal attainment. Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high‑performing Financial Advisors, building strong talent credibility and ensuring optimal coverage and service across Patelco branches. Coordinate advisor and support staff training in partnership with the broker‑dealer. Advisor Leadership & Talent Management Serve as the primary executive owner of the broker‑dealer relationship (including accountability and ownership with third parties such as LPL) to optimize performance, drive platform/program enhancements, and coordinate closely with OSJ and compliance teams. Ensure adherence to broker‑dealer, regulatory, and Patelco compliance requirements and communicate expectations clearly to advisors and staff. Provide support to broker‑dealer OSJ and compliance functions as required. Oversee platform programs, operational workflows, and service delivery models to ensure efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation . Financial & Product Management Lead development and management of the annual and monthly program budget, including revenue forecasting and expense management. Manage product relationships; regularly review investment offerings to ensure strong member value, profitability, and competitive positioning. Create, develop, and implement new investment product and sales opportunities. Review and monitor production and performance reports; communicate results and insights with Regional Directors, Branch Managers, and executive leadership. Marketing & Growth Integration Partner with Patelco’s Corporate Marketing team to develop and execute an investment marketing calendar. Lead and coordinate advisor‑specific marketing initiatives aligned with program and enterprise strategies. Ensure consistent integration of investment services within Patelco’s branch and delivery channel strategies. Executive Communication Prepare and deliver regular updates, insights, and recommendations to Executive Management as requested. Represent the Investment program with professionalism, credibility, and strong executive presence. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 7+ years related investment industry experience 5+ years of managerial experience Series 7, 24, 63, 65 (or 66) and Life Insurance licenses are required Previous management and sales coaching experience Strong communication skills and public speaking experience Must have a clean U-4 Must have proficient computer skills Certified Financial Planner certification preferred Physical Activities/Requirements This role is eligible for hybrid work arrangement This role is based in our Dublin HQ Occasional travel required throughout our retail channel Target Base Pay $130,000 - $150,000/ year plus commission or other variable compensation Compensation at Patelco Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
