Job description

About the role:

The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a collaborative, process-driven Marketing Specialist to join the North America Field Marketing (NAFM) team. In this role, you will act as a "translator," bridging the gap between high-impact marketing programs—including events, integrated digital campaigns, and content syndication—and the specialized technical teams that support them. Your mission is to support multiple stakeholders across various marketing channels to ensure a frictionless, 5-star experience for both internal teams and customers. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing several simultaneous programs.

What you will do:

The Marketing Specialist 2 is responsible for prioritizing and managing semi-routine marketing assignments, exercising judgment in supporting sales and marketing initiatives with minimal supervision. This role focuses on resolving limited complexity issues, collaborating with various teams to ensure campaigns and events are implemented successfully.

  • Program Coordination and Optimization

  • Playbook Development: Create and maintain a standardized event planning process to ensure planning and execution is simple and scalable for all team members.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver exceptional work that is on brand, on time, and on budget, while continuously auditing processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.

  • Workflow Auditing: Shadow program marketers during the planning of flagship event series, such as Ansible Automates, to audit and improve existing marketing workflows.

  • Marketing Ops Liaison:  Act as the single point of contact and primary liaison between the Programs & Digital team and Marketing Operations, proactively solving problems and optimizing processes to ensure seamless program execution.

  • Tactical Marketing Support

  • Communications Management: Compile and design monthly newsletters for both internal and external audiences.

  • Content & Social: Create organic social posts and maintain online hub pages by managing event-related content.

  • Resource Logistics: Manage event-related inventory, including swag ordering and shipping.

  • Campaign Execution: Support regional marketing initiatives aligned with Red Hat Sales and Marketing goals. Assist with Hackathon execution.

  • Performance & Reporting

  • Success Tracking: Assist in tracking campaign and event results to measure program success and lead generation.

  • Metric Oversight: Monitor lead delivery and pacing reports to ensure all campaigns are performing as expected.

  • Manage general marketing activities, including coordinating digital and in-person events.

  • Implement predefined marketing campaigns that support cross-selling and upselling initiatives.

  • Implement predefined marketing programs that promote demand generation and brand awareness.

  • Track, analyze, and report basic metrics from marketing campaigns and events.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for marketing materials and event production

What you will bring:

  • Adaptability: Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks at once, and remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Problem Solving: A motivated problem solver with the ability to manage projects independently.

  • Communication: Excellent planning and communication skills, with a passion for collaborating across diverse groups.

  • Operational Mindset: Strong attention to detail and a "customer-centric" approach to process improvement.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with marketing tactics, the customer buying cycle, and creative processes.

  • Technical Aptitude: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with an eagerness to learn and utilize various marketing tools and platforms (ON24, RainFocus, Adobe Workfront, Adobe Express, Salesforce Lightning, Tableau)

The salary range for this position is $64,220.00 - $99,490.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
