Software Engineer for Avaloq Core Platform (Mid / Senior)

The Product Maintenance division is dedicated to delivering excellence and reliability in our live products to maximize client satisfaction and solidify long-term strategic partnerships. We are currently looking for a dedicated, systematic and proactive Software Engineer to join our team and build expertise in Manila for business or technology foundation components under the area of Avaloq Core Platform.

As a Software Engineer, you'll take over Avaloq Core and Integration component's long‑term functional and code health as well as resilience. You will:

1. Analyze root cause, develop and test thought-out solutions for simple to complex and non-critical to high priority maintenance tickets
2. Track recurring incidents /problems and discuss with your Technical Leader and Product teams the long-term fix
3. Develop and maintain automated tests
4. Take ownership and responsibility for own area of expertise 
5. Review incoming tickets with the Technical Leader and the rest of the team, owning the initial response and follow-through for more complex and higher priority tickets
6. If you are a Senior Software Engineer, you will be expected to coach less tenured team members

You will need the following to succeed in the role:

1. Strong, demonstrable software development experience using database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL) and is a certified Avaloq Core Customization Developer
2. Ability to understand business needs and translate them into clean designs and high‑quality code
3. Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a structured, autonomous approach to complex problems
4. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks
5. Excellent communication skills in English with a strong client‑oriented mindset
6. Experience working in Agile environments and using ticketing tools such as Jira

It would be a bonus if you have:

1. Knowledge of Java, Spring framework and Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, SQL 
2. Knowledge / experience in Git, Gradle, Jenkins
