Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Overview

A full-service acute care hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its respiratory care team.

This role supports a wide range of patient populations and acuity levels, including critical care, and offers the opportunity to work with advanced respiratory therapies and ventilator management in a collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments including airway evaluation and breath sounds
• Administer respiratory therapies (oxygen, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy)
• Initiate, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation (invasive and noninvasive)
• Assist with airway management and placement of artificial airways
• Monitor patient response and adjust treatments as needed
• Respond to emergency situations and support resuscitation efforts
• Transport ventilator-dependent patients safely
• Document patient care accurately and timely

Required:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 30 days of hire
• NRP within 60 days of hire

Preferred:

• 1+ year of Respiratory Therapy experience

Note:
New graduates and experienced CRTs eligible for RRT will be considered
