Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting excellence across our operations. This position combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with supervisory oversight, audit coordination, and participation in financial systems and process improvements. Key Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and support site-level bookkeeping teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant transaction recording Ensure proper tax treatment, account classification, and consistent application of accounting policies Act as a second-level control for reconciliations and balance reviews Manage complex or non-standard accounting matters in collaboration with external advisors Lead all tax-related processes, including VAT returns, withholding tax, and statutory filings Perform and review accounting entries such as accruals, provisions, adjustments, and year-end closing entries Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors, serving as the primary point of contact during audits Oversee audit documentation, follow-up actions, and implementation of audit recommendations Serve as a key accounting stakeholder in ERP-related projects and system improvements Prepare and analyze management reports and contribute to cross-functional finance projects

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4–8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards and tax regulations Experience with hands-on accounting and supervisory/control responsibilities Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably SoftOne) Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, well-organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
