We are looking for a culturally-connected and dynamic Account Supervisor to join our consumer lifestyle group working on accounts in the food and beverage space. This role will have a high focus on consumer media relations, influencer engagement and project management.
What you'll do:
Client
- Serve as a key day-to-day client contact
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of client’s business and industry
- Develop long term plans and program recommendations for clients
- Provide client counsel on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans
- Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
- Direct client editorial programs
- Develop client presentations
Media
- Know the industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client
- Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of relevant client media
- Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
- Conduct media outreach
- Write and/or edit media relations materials
- Qualify media inquiries
- Direct and supervise the logistics of events (eg: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.)
- Supervise media list development
Writing
- Develop proposals, releases, customer profiles, bylined articles and other press materials
- Account for quality control and final review of all letters, memos, meeting reports, and client materials
- Instruct staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary
- Contribute to the development of strategic client plans
Team Development
- Develop work plan of junior team members
- Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations
- Train and develop staff
- Conduct performance reviews
- Be involved in staffing of team, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
- Serve as a role model to other team members
- Attend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedback
- Successfully contribute to the growth of existing accounts
- Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Professional Experience
6-9 years related professional experience

Salary: $90,000-$120,000
DeVries has included the base salary or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; market considerations; budgetary considerations; as well as a candidate’s background, relevant experience, and qualifications.
