Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and redesign manufacturing processes, workflows, and facility layouts to increase throughput and reduce waste.

VSD/VSM, Kanban system, plant layout, standardized work, cycle time, quick changeover, ergonomics, TPM, FOL, LLD, etc.

  • Time & Method Studies: Conduct time studies and method analysis to establish accurate labor standards and improve worker efficiency. Manage time data value in SAP using the Computer-Aided Process Planning (CAPP) tool.
  • Capacity Planning: Calculate production capacity and optimize resource utilization, including machinery and personnel.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure all processes comply with safety standards (Ergonomics)and quality specifications.
  • Data Analysis: Use statistical tools and software (e.g., Minitab, AutoCAD, Excel) to analyze production data and suggest improvements.
  • Documentation: Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation
  • B.E / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • 8-10 years of Industrial experience ,
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office    (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles can be an added advantage
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, structured & strategic way of working with good business overview.
  • Strong cross functional teaming
  • Proficient in interpersonal, networking, communication, facilitation, negotiation and conflict
    management skills.
  • Strong communication skills dealing with different stakeholders and teams.

Communication: Effective oral and written communication is needed to interact with team members, senior leaders, vendors, and other departments clearly and professionally. 

Problem-solving: This involves analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and developing efficient and effective solutions to minimize disruptions. 

 Time management: The ability to prioritize tasks, allocate time efficiently, and meet deadlines is a must for busy managers. 

 Interpersonal skills: These are essential for building strong working relationships, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
